Young Readers Circle
The Young Readers' Circle is a community outreach initiative designed to teach young readers ages 9-13 how to read and enjoy imaginative literature. The Young Readers' Circle will include weekend and summer neighborhood reading workshops and will be led by Morrison scholars - faculty and graduate students - in the school communities. Students will be recruited from local elementary and middle schools and recommended by their teachers. We expect that the Young Readers Circle will prepare future critical readers of Morrison's novels.
